INFRARED JOINING TECHNOLOGY

HIGH BONDING STRENGTH AND EASY SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

INFRARED JOINING TECHNOLOGY

The IR welding process is suitable for both surface welding and spot-welded joints. In this process, different cockpit components can be joined (air channels and air bag chute channels), door panel components (retainer, crash pads, watersshields, reinforcement elements) and centre console components (armrests and side panels). This process offers impressive features such as a large process window and high joint strength as well as easy maintenance and spare parts inventory. Thanks to short joining stroke times and defined heat input, the cycle times are reduced. Infrared cameras monitor the joining process to ensure consistent high quality.
