HOT AIR RIVETING

We offer three different processes for riveting of plastic parts. In addition to the ultrasonic welding and hot stamp riveting, we offer a high efficiency hot air riveting process that guarantees by far the highest degree of rivet strength. The supplied air flow is heated just before it is discharged with over 500 W using heating cartridges developed especially for this purpose and the hot air plasticises the rivet dome on both the rivet head and rivet cover. This creates a fully plasticising of the dome or base. The rivet dome is re-cooled using a pneumatically-driven riveting stamp that is re-cooled during the heating time through the air flow and the Venturi-effect.

The following options are available as a system concept:

• For small applications, a free-standing riveting system without tool change 
• Free-standing FLEXXMAX MTP System with tool change and optional sliding table or turntable.
• Integrated into the FLEXXLINE MT Assembly Line
